User Experience, User Interface, Web Design

A collection of User Interface and Web Design projects collaborated on from 2012–2015. On all projects I served as UI Designer or Front-End/Wordpress developer. Most projects were completed with my partners at Tilt Shift, Amy Guterman, Liz Rose Chmela and Jince Kiruvilla.

The Neighborhood Story Project, 2012, was created for a nonprofit organization in partnership with the University of New Orleans. NSP turns collaborative ethnography into narrative artifacts, primarily books and posters. They work with public schools, grassroots organizations, community museums, Mardi Gras Indians and other institutions to support their mission: “Our stories told by us.” The design and function of the site gave the organization a platform to sale these artifacts. And, this advanced a secondary goal—royalties to the authors, stories to the city.

GlobeMed, 2012, was a major undertaking for the organization’s national headquarters at Northwestern University. The site’s main goal and function presented the organization’s mission, impact and global network of more than 2,000 students across 60 university campus chapters. These chapters are the constant in the GlobeMed model to create one-to-one relationships with grassroots health organizations in 20 countries across 3 continents. The site proved successful in presenting their impact and in helping their student chapters/partner organizations to work hand-in-hand, raising more than two million dollars to implement hundreds of health projects around the world.

Future Founders Foundation, 2012, was the first major iteration of the organization’s website. Simultaneously, a new logo and brand voice were unified through the launch of the site. The main goal and function of the site was to create a platform to share their programs that connect youth with mentors and help them build a toolkit of entrepreneurial skills. The brand voice has proved successful and FFF has served over 34,000 youth from elementary school to college and beyond.
